Our Relationship to St Clere's School
St Clere's School is a high achieving, oversubscribed school with around 1100 students from a variety of areas across Thurrock. It is a popular choice for families both local and further afield because it has staff who teach with great energy and expertise in an environment that has exceptional facilities. Its teachers promote and model creativity and individuality which enthuses and engages its students. Its reputation is one of very high academic standards and outstanding pupil conduct. They encourage all their students to strive for success.
The aim of Thames Park Secondary School is to provide the Grays area with the same standard of education. The free school application to the DfE was based on Thames Park largely replicating the provision of St Clere's School. However, the curriculum will be tailored to the reflect the characteristics of the pupils that are expected to attend. Thames Park's core objective will be to ensure improved educational outcomes in the area. The school, similarly to St Clere's, will deliver a balanced academic curriculum with an emphasis on maths, while sports will feature strongly.
Thames Park Secondary School will be a sister school to St Clere's School and the schools will work closely together, along with the other schools within Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust. They will be working together to share best practice and leadership knowledge and capacity to ensure that the education that is offered is of a high standard.
