We are very pleased to announce the planned opening of a new secondary free school within the Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust.
Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust has an excellent record of raising attainment and Thames Park Secondary School will be a sister school to St Clere's Secondary School. Our new secondary free school will also build on the success of Thameside Primary School and will provide a direct route of pupils to continue their education into Year 7.
Thames Park School will be situated in Thurrock and will admit children into Year 7 from all areas. Our schools have a clear set of co-operative values; self-help, self-responsibility, equity, equality, democracy and solidarity. These values will underpin everything we do as we plan curriculum provision and opportunities for our students.

St Clere's School is a high performing school and we are very excited to be involved in the opening of a sister school within the Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust. Thames Park Secondary School will benefit from the Trust's infrastructure and school improvement capability, including its common finance and HR systems. Its close proximity to St Clere's School will enable the sharing of resources, experience and expertise for the benefit of pupils in both. The results will be a high performing school where resources are focused on educational improvement which will offer excellent education provision.
The demand for additional secondary school places over the next few years is already evident in the rapidly expanding primary school sector in Thurrock. The opening of this four form secondary school (increasing to six forms after a couple of years) in the Grays area will meet the growing need for school places.
The education design of the school will mirror that of St Clere's School with adaptations to reflect the individual needs of pupils who apply for a place. All pupils will make excellent progress regardless of their prior attainment and background.
